Development works for existing Union Coop branches and malls

Based on the cooperative’s keenness to develop and expand its commercial centers, malls, and current branches to meet the needs of consumers and keep pace with the development in the retail sector, to bring the cooperative buildings to a better level and to achieve and meet its basic requirements, the cooperative carried out the necessary development work for its branches, as follows:

 

  1. Etihad Mall:

  • Adding many commercial activities and services to the mall, whether through the opening of shops, kiosks or services, in a manner that meets the aspirations of shoppers.
  • Completion of the work of linking the current parking lots with the main street, which is parallel to the residential area, in order to facilitate the movement of vehicles and reduce congestion at the current entrances.
  • Completion of the Food Trucks parking area project, with 28 vehicles and 14 drive Thrus, in order to meet the needs of the region and provide various services in the field of providing ready-made foods, in addition to organizing the increasing demand for these activities and encouraging young citizens to engage in such promising projects.
  1. Al Barsha Mall:

  • Adding many commercial activities and services to the mall, whether through the opening of shops, kiosks or services, in a manner that meets the aspirations of shoppers.
  • Completion of the work of creating a new gaming area in the food court area with high and modern standards, in order to serve shoppers and mall visitors and meet their needs of modern gaming activities, in addition to creating commercial spaces for rent in the food court to increase and diversify activities.
  • Completion of adding many governmental activities to the mall, making it a perfect destination for citizens and residents and to meet their needs.

 

  1. Al Warqa City Mall:

  • Adding many commercial activities and services to the mall, whether through the opening of shops, kiosks or services, in a manner that meets the aspirations of shoppers.
  • Opening the road linking the residential area and leading to the mall from behind, in order to facilitate access to the mall for residents of the Al Warqa residential areas.

 

  1. Al Aweer Branch:

Completion of the development work on the first floor of the branch, after the main administration offices were shifted, as the development work varied between expanding service areas for fresh food departments, which in turn contribute to providing and diversifying fresh exhibits, in addition to creating a commercial space consisting of (52) Commercial store and offices, in order to provide the largest number of commercial activities in one location, which in turn will contribute to increasing customer attraction to the branch and achieving better income.

 

  1. Al Wasl Branch:

  • Creating a commercial space for two shops and a showroom on the first floor, in order to provide the largest number of services to customers, including a center for essential government services, and to meet the increasing demand for product display spaces.
  1. Al-Tayy branch:
  • Creating a Coop Al-Tayy branch, in order to serve residents near Al-Tayy and Al-Aweer areas, and users of the Emirates Highway.

Developmental maintenance work:

Diverse development and maintenance work were carried out in the various branches of the cooperative. The developments included air-conditioning, painting, exterior panels, creating and modifying commercial spaces according to need and leasing requirements, adding service areas, and maintaining customer bathrooms, with the aim of providing a better  and a happy shopping environment for shoppers.
