Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, received a delegation from the Public Health Services Department in the Dubai Municipality, headed by the Acting Director of Public Health Services Mr. Ali Taher Al Hammadi, and Mr. Abdullah Al Abbasi, Head of Abattoirs Operation section, where they were received at Al Warqa City Mall by Mr. Shuaib Al Hammadi, Senior Marketing & Media Section Manager, Union Coop and Mr. THANI RASHID – Space Management Assistant Dept. Mgr., in the presence of several employees of both the parties, to review best practices regarding development plans in the abattoirs management process.

During the visit, a detailed explanation was provided about the mechanism of providing, cutting and selling fresh meat to customers following high health standards in all cooperative branches, in addition to exchanging information about the types of meat most popular and desired by the community groups, and a tour was organized for the delegation around the branch to learn about the products and concerning sections.

Mr. Shuaib Al Hammadi stressed the importance of the bilateral visits and meetings between the Union Coop officials and Dubai Municipality, and their role in enhancing cooperation between them and sharing knowledge, especially in the field of Abattoirs and food, regulating it and improving the plans in place.

For their part, the Dubai Municipality delegation expressed happiness for the plans to modernize Union Coop, which is carried out as per the highest international standards in the field of fresh food provision, and its rapid development in all areas of trade, meat, hydroponic farming/agriculture, and the provision of organic products to consumers.
