Following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to urgently install fire protection systems directly connected with Civil Defense at all houses, Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE launched ‘Your Safety… Is Our Safety’ initiative. This aims to install fire protection systems at 1,000 houses for those who cannot afford to and in coordination with the competent authorities. “The safety and security of individuals and organizations in both the public and private sectors is a matter of social responsibility,” said HE Khalid Humaid bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop. “They must be integrated within corporate responsibility goals and strategies. Today, we announced our Your Safety … Is Our Safety Initiative in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This wise decision carries a message of compassion and care for all the UAE people,” Al Falasi also explained that the initiative aims to shoulder a marginal part of the government’s efforts and to translate Union Coop’s vision of corporate social responsibility. HE also pointed out that the UAE is a pioneer in providing the best global systems that will enhance the security and safety of the residents.
