Mr. Khalifa Ahmed Al Amiri scored two silver medals in two separate ‘roller skating’ games  

Dubai, UAE:

Union Coop employee ‘Mr. Khalifa Ahmed Al Amiri’ recently participated in the ‘Special Olympics World Games’ and won two ‘silver medals’ in two separate ‘Roller Skating’ games. Special Olympics World Games is the world’s largest inclusive sporting event, wherein thousands of athletes belonging to the category of ‘people of determination’ compete.

Union Coop has always been with the ‘Members of Determination’ when it comes to developing potential skills and achieving their dreams. Union Coop has always encouraged its ‘gifted’ employees to excel in their respective fields of passion, by providing them with flexible working hours, training and resources as well.

Praising the leadership of the UAE, he said “We thank the leadership of the UAE for their continuous support and for providing us with all the means necessary for success, creativity and excellence. Moreover, we would also like to thank the organizers of the tournament and the Union Coop management for continuous encouragement.”

The games were held from June 17 to 25, 2023 in ‘Berlin’ and it is for the first time it was held in Germany. It should also be noted that UAE’s team was the biggest compared to other teams from MENA region.
