Union Coop CEO Attends World Economic Forum in KSA

Mr. Mohamed Al Hashemi, the CEO of Union Coop, participated as a member in the World Economic Forum’s special meeting held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting, titled “Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development,” was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on April 28th and 29th, 2024.
The meeting, attended by numerous international officials, experts, opinion leaders, and thinkers from various Arab nations, government and private sectors, international organizations, and academic institutions, deliberated on various global economic issues and developments. The aim was to find common solutions and address humanitarian, climate, and economic challenges.
Mr. Al Hashemi emphasized the significance of his participation in the World Economic Forum’s special meeting, given his membership in the forum, to which he was selected to join in 2021. He highlighted the importance of this meeting in discussing innovative solutions and mobilizing efforts for driving global economic growth and Arab economy. This is crucial as it is one of the pillars of stability in the region.
The meeting witnessed a wide range of dialogues and productive sessions aimed at innovating sustainable solutions to enhance the economy and energy for development. Of particular importance was the discussion on the future of oil in the region, during which Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister ‘HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman’ delivered insights.
