The two sides explored the potential supply relationship and trade relationship between Union Coop and Rwandafresh brand

Union Coop – the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE received a delegation from the Republic of Rwanda consists of Exporters and Trade Officer affiliated to ‘Rwandafresh’ a national Brand name for all Rwandan fresh produce exports, i.e. fruits, vegetables and flowers and other Quality Horticulture Products.

Part of the visit dealt with establishing strategic supply partnerships for Rwandafresh products and learning about the best practices implemented in the field of food retail, delivery and customer happiness services, expansion strategies, sharing experiences.

Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi, Fresh Category Trade Dept. Manager, represented Union Coop who received the delegation and organized a tour in the Union Coop hypermarket, Al Warqa Branch located at Al Warqa City Mall, all the while discussing potential trade ties that can result in a mutually beneficial relationship in near future.

Mr. Yaqoub Al Balooshi stressed that the cooperative seeks to enhance cooperation between all suppliers and countries in the world, indicating that it is constantly keen on exchanging experiences with countries around the world that have experiences and expertise in the field of retail trade and the supply of fresh food. He added that the cooperative is happy to receive a delegation from the Republic of Rwanda, as it also organized a visit to the Consulate General of Rwanda in Dubai to enhance trade relations.

The Rwandafresh produce exporters along with Trade Officer thanked Union Coop for their efforts in exploring future trade ties.
