Union Coop’s New Commercial Center in Al Barsha-3 for AED 60 Million

Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE through the ‘Properties and Projects’ division has announced a new Commercial Center in the Al Barsha-3 area, which at present started the excavation shoring works.

With respect to the new project, Engr. Madiya Al Marri, Director of Properties and Projects Division, said: “This project comes in line with one of the most important objectives of Union Coop, which is the expansion to new areas in Al Barsha south and Marina, with branches that will make it easier for the consumers to reach us and enjoy a unique shopping experience.”

“The project covers an area of 50, 000 sq. ft. and a total Buildup area of 148, 000 sq. ft. with a direct view on Hissa Street, which connects Al Khail road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Marina and Sheikh Zayed Road altogether. The total cost of the project is estimated to be AED 60 Million,” said Al Marri.

The project consists of a basement, ground floor, first floor and Mezzanine. The basement floor is dedicated to parking spaces, store area and services area such as (prayer rooms, ablution, WCs) . The ground floor has been allocated to a number of shops, the point of sales and parking spaces), whereas the first floor has been dedicated to Union Coop hypermarket, spanning over 40, 000 sq. ft., including display areas, fresh food sections and shelves.
