Union Coop organized a special community event as part of the ‘Barakat Al Dar’ initiative, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, to honor senior citizens in recognition of their valuable contributions and lifelong service to the community.

Several representatives attended the event from official entities. During the ceremony, Mr. Shuaib Al Hammadi, Director – Community Relations, Union Coop, delivered a speech expressing the cooperative’s pride in supporting senior citizens. He emphasized that the elderly represent the ‘blessing and living memory’ of society, and that honoring and caring for them is both a national and social duty.

The event also witnessed the participation of Ms. Shamma Saif, Chief Human Resource Officer, Union Coop, and Mr. Mhannad Saeed, Senior Citizens Department, Community Development Authority, along with guests from the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. Together, they took part in honoring senior citizens and presenting gifts to them in a warm and appreciative atmosphere.

This initiative comes as part of Union Coop’s ongoing corporate social responsibility programs and its steadfast commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens. It aligns with the wise leadership’s vision to instill values of respect and gratitude towards this cherished group, who embody generosity, legacy, and the deep-rooted heritage of Emirati society.
