UAE Citizen offers his Warehouse to Store Food during the Covid-19 pandemic, Free of Cost

Al Marri believes that the National Initiative reflects the implementation of Sheikh Zayed’s belief of goodness and humanity towards the Emirati people
Union Coop honored UAE National ‘Ahmed Al Jaber’, who works in the sector of entry and residency permits in the ‘General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs – Dubai’, where he took the initiative to provide his private warehouses to be at the disposal of Union Coop to store 20% of the foodstuffs. This is in support of the efforts made by the Union Coop to secure all the necessary needs for individuals and provide the largest number of food products in these exceptional circumstances as a result of the repercussions of Covid-19 Pandemic.
The honoring ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, GDRFA Dubai, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop and Colonel Dr. Omar Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of Entry and Residence Permits sector and lieutenant Colonel Ali Malalla, Deputy Assistant Director of Entry and Residence Permits Sector, and Mr. Shuaib Al Hammadi, Senior Marketing & Media Section Manager and Ms. Huda Salem Saif, Senior Communication Section Manager at Union Coop.
H.E. Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, GDRFA Dubai, praised this kind gesture from the citizen Ahmed Al Jaber. Stressing that it is a national initiative that reflects Sheikh Zayed’s belief of cultivating goodness and humanity in the Emirati people, who always prove to the world that spreading goodness and giving is not done in expectation of anything, but it is an approach that we have learned from our leaders and embedded in our hearts.
H.E. Major General Al-Marri said that the collaboration of community members with all institutions, companies and private sectors in overcoming this exceptional stage constitutes an inspiring model for future generations and a continuation of the march of giving that our wise leadership instilled in society, as well as affirming the importance of social responsibility, which is a characteristic of the noble Emirati personality.
For his part, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop stressed that: “The love of good and volunteer work is ingrained and rooted in the members of the UAE community, as laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May Allah Rest His Soul), the founding father of the United Arab Emirates and his fellow brothers and leaders of the UAE, indicating that Emirati citizen distinguishes love of goodness for all and places national interest above personal interest, irrespective of the cost for his belief that the nation always deserves the best and he is just paying a small price for that is a thing of beauty.”
He added: “The citizen Ahmed Al Jaber displayed the finest examples of dedication and giving without any expectations of a return of any kind by providing his own warehouse to Union Coop free of charge to be used during the Corona pandemic, displays his eagerness to contribute to the provision of food and strategic stocks for members of the community to ensure the application of the directions of the wise leadership, who stressed that food and medicine are a red line.”
Responding to his great deed and recognition, Mr. Ahmed Al Jaber said: “The United Arab Emirates has offered a lot of humanitarian aid and indulged in socialistic tasks that have exemplified it as a universal model and example of giving and brotherhood represented by its wise leadership and their distinguished efforts in consolidating the culture of humanitarian work and community contribution. In this situation, it is important that we all join hands to give back to this precious country, which spared no efforts in providing a decent life for all members of society, whether citizens or residents. This gesture also embodied the vision of our wise leadership, who always affirm that humanitarian action is the noblest of the works and their name. ”
