Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai beheld the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon for 2014 on Friday 24 Jan, 2014 for the 10th following year

The Marathon was provided with three race categories, distance 42, 10 , & 3 Kilometers for two groups, Corporate and Team Challenges in order to add elements of fun for both groups

Union Cooperative Society had a prominent role in sponsoring and supporting this marathon due to its high importance and value in Dubai Calendar of events, where the marathon is considered the most expensive marathon in the world, where the value of the cash prizes ranges from 8,000 US Dollars to 200,000 US Dollars.
