Union Coop Dedicates AED 46 Million for Price Reduction
Union Coop, the largest cooperative in the UAE disclosed that it has spent AED46 million on promotions during the first three quarters of 2017. The cooperative asserted that these valuable promotions aim to reduce the burdens that community members face with their daily needs.

Commenting on this, HE Khalid bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of the Union Coop explained that the promotion offers covered over 50,000 food and non-food products. “Union Coop remains committed to preparing and implementing promotional programs with an eye on serving community. This stems from our belief in our goals and its role in realizing Consumers’ happiness.”
Adding further, HE Al Falasi said: “the offers we provide cover various product types, especially ethnic foods, and takes into consideration the cultural diversity in the UAE. Consumers can enjoy up-to 50% discounts on selected products throughout the year via promotion books and buy 2 get 2 offers. Consumers may also benefit from further price reductions with the loyalty program ‘Tamayaz Card’.
“As a national entity, we strive to maintain stability in the retail market and provide best competitive prices. Our work team prepare proactive plans for offering food products at market-lowest prices by directly contracting with leading providers and farmers.”
He also added: “following the directives of our wise leadership, we support members of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and Dubai SME. We also support local producers and aqua-farmers by facilitating transactions, providing spaces throughout our outlets, and short payment cycles.”
