Union Cooperative and Dubai Media sign MoU to spread health culture

UAE, Dubai, 15 January 2017:
Union Coop, the UAE’s largest consumer cooperative, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Media Incorporated – Sama Dubai channel, for sponsoring the show “Hana wa Afiya” (Bon Appetit) during the next holy month of Ramadan, in order to motivate individuals to follow a sustainable healthy lifestyle that reflects positively on society, in addition to enhancing social responsibility between the public and private sectors.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Ahmad Salem bin Kenaid, director of Human Resources and Emiratization Department at Union Coop, and Abdulla Al Serkal, director of program planning and acting director of Noor Dubai channel, in the presence of executives and employees from both sides.
Ahmad bin Kenaid said that “the goal of the MoU is to adopt initiatives and development projects in social, economic, environmental, and other fields, in addition to motivating the community to pursue a sustainable healthy lifestyle, indicating that Union Coop is committed to activating social responsibility by supporting the programs launched by governmental, semi-governmental, and public-benefit establishments to raise health awareness among people and develop their knowledge and culture regarding health issues”.
For his part, Mr. Abdulla Al Serkal said that “this partnership embodies the concept of social responsibility for benefiting the society, noting Union Coop’s proactive approach in supporting public-benefit initiatives that raise the sense of national responsibility by contributing with the authorities to raise society’s awareness and provide it with valuable information”.
