” Union Coop ” intends to sign strategic agreements with Dubai Municipality
Union Cooperative Society & Dubai Municipality held a coordinative meeting, during which the Society presented its current and future societal projects, and its role in support of the vital sectors in Dubai emirate, represented in means of education, health and human and charitable work, in presence of Mr. / Suhail Al Bastaki, Manager of Marketing & Communication Department in Union Cooperative Society , and for Dubai Municipality Eng. / Abdul Majeed Sifiani the General Manager of Wastes, Eng. / Mohammed Al Nouri Manager of Partnership , Mr. / Ismail Abdul Rahman Al Banna, Manager of Institutional Marketing & Relations Department in Dubai Municipality and a number of employees of the Municipality.
With regards to the most important subjects discussed during the meeting, Mr. / Suhail Al Bastaki, Manager of Marketing & Communication Department in Society said “The coordinative meeting comes as a preliminary step to a forthcoming series of meetings, signature of a number of strategic partnership agreements, serving the institutional and societal aims of both Parties, in addition to individuals of society, promotion of level of services rendered to them, so that Dubai emirate may become a world destination in different aspects through integrated development”.
Certificate of appreciation
At the end of meeting, Mr. / Suhail Al Bastaki, representing Union Cooperative Society , received a certificate of appreciation from Dubai Municipality, appraising its role and distinguished and effective participation in initiative “Shop smartly … Decrease your wastes”, which was organized by the Municipality in order to keep the environment, and enlighten the shoppers about importance of adoption of the sustainable environmental ways and means.
On commenting the above, Al Bastaki said “The Society in extremely interested in participation, organization of requirements and concepts of sustainability among individuals of the society, and it adopts plans and systems with worldly standards and practices in management of wastes, which help decrease production of wastes, re-use and recycle.
