The department at present is working to implement 4 new projects and update 5 existing programs

Dubai, UAE:

Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE through its Information Technology department implemented 44 major commercial projects from the year 2015 to 2019, which comes within the department’s framework to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the world of information systems in the retail trade sector.

Mr. Aiman Othman, IT Director, Union Coop said: “The department has developed about 13 basic systems, including the electronic trading platform, the Union Coop smart app and others, in addition to its work on about 12 new projects that contribute to providing quality services to the different departments and management of Union Coop, in addition to providing new, updated and secure services for the consumers.”

He further added: “The department will work during the current year to implement 4 new projects and update 5 existing programs in a way that contributes to keeping pace with digital developments in the world of retail trade, including contributing to securing information and save data, in addition to providing services that exceed the aspirations of our valued shareholders and customers.”

It is worth mentioning that Union Coop holds an accreditation for the International Information Security Management Standard ISO 27001 and a certificate for the International Business Continuity Standard 22301: 2012ISO from Bureau Veritas, Dubai Branch.
