It’s not a surprise that Union Coop, UAE’s largest Consumer Cooperative advocating the importance of extracurricular activities, especially sports in employee life. A recent example of that is Mr. Gnana Jerome Marshel, who completed 42.195 KM at the recently held Dubai Marathon.

Mr. Marshel credits hard work and a positive work environment at Union Coop for his recent achievement and plans to maintain the same level of motivation when it comes to his work in the IT Department as a Developer.

Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon was held on January 24^th and it was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

Another employee from Union Coop, Mr. Fazul Mohideen participated in the ‘Dubai Run’ and completed 10 KM successfully. The event was a part of the popular ‘Dubai Fitness Challenge’.

Previously, Union Coop employees have won recognition in regional games, Paralympic games and competitive bodybuilding shows as well.
