Union Coop Participates in the Second Dubai Agricultural Forum

Union Coop participated in the “Second Dubai Agricultural Forum,” an event which was organized by Dubai Municipality’s Agriculture Department.
The forum was held at the ‘Al Suwaidi Farm’ in Al Khawaneej, and was part of the “Marketing Local Agricultural Products” initiative aimed at promoting local agriculture, supporting Emirati products, and ensuring food quality and safety.
Union Coop was represented by Mrs. Jehan Ismail Altaher, Assistant Section Manager, Mr. Ahmad Dad, Sr. Category Executive – Fresh Foods, and Mr. Hussain Mohamed Ameen, Sr. Category Executive – Fresh Foods. The forum brought together several industry experts, farmers, and stakeholders to discuss topics such as improving farmers’ competitiveness, packaging standards, and ways to ensure product quality.
Mrs. Jehan Altaher emphasized Union Coop’s commitment to supporting local agriculture in line with the UAE’s vision for sustainable food security. She also highlighted the Coop’s role in providing farmers with market insights and guidelines on packaging and quality standards, ensuring their products meet Dubai’s diverse consumer demands.
The forum was a key platform for promoting sustainable agricultural practices and effective marketing strategies for Emirati farmers’ products.
