Based on the vital role of the Union Co-operative Society and the geographical and strategic spread of it and of its branches in various regions of the Emirate of Dubai, Operation Division Bur Dubai Area Manager Mr. Rashid Alharmoodi said

that the Union Co-operative Society took the initiative to participate in this program through the provision of the logistical support and the continuation of this approach to expand community support since the beginning of the project to provide the needs of the citizens from the basic goods and services at affordable prices. ELHarmoudi added that Union coop provided 16 million dirhams as an annual liable to excess support, through distributing those goods through its outlets in the Emirate of Dubai, and through opening new points to provide this support, as Umm Suqeim branch that will start distribution at the end of August, and Al Towar branch that will start distribution in mid-September, as well as Al Aweer branch that will start distribution at the beginning of October, in addition to the previous points (Al Barsha Mall branch and Hamriyah branch, Al Rashidiya Branch) to ensure the completion of the distribution process smoothly and easily for the citizens.

From his part, Alharmoodi pointed out that this National strategic project is finding an increasing acceptance as it achieved many advantages such as the provision of basic goods and services at affordable prices for families in the country, and based on the active role of the Union Co-operative Society and its branches across the region areas, there will be a prospective study to expand the distribution of these goods through new other outlets, in order to boost the development and progress process in the country.
