On Thursday, 19th Ramadan, corresponding to 19/07/2014 at Etihad Mall, Union Cooperative Society organizes a collective Iftar, in implementation of the initiative “Zayed Humanitarian Day”, launched by Their Highnesses president and vice-president of the state, corresponding to anniversary of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy upon him, on 19 Ramadan of each year, as recognition and perpetuation of his humanitarian and social initiatives, and in general to promote community role and responsibility of organizations and individuals in the state. This Iftar will be attended and joined by entities concerned with training and rehabilitation of the disabled, such as UAE Down Syndrome Association, Dubai Handicap Center, Dubai Club for the Disabled and Al Sahara Group involving more than 120 of our sons & brothers with disability, along with the presence of a large number of Union Cooperative Society executives & staff

Goodwill ambassador for childhood, Ms. Sonia Al Hashimi, The General Manager of UAE Down Syndrome Association, appeared as a guest of honor at the event, where at the end of the event, special gifts were pleasantly distributed to the crowd along with entertainment cards from “Kiddie Ville” play area
