Union Coop, UAE’s largest Consumer Cooperative is supporting UAE Food Bank’s ‘Food Donation’ Drive, by supporting the installation of stands, which will motivate people/visitors or consumers to donate food for the needy.

About the initiative, Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, Director of Operations division, Union Coop had this to say: “The primary aim of this initiative was to promote volunteerism by motivating different segments of the community to participate in UAE Food Bank’s campaigns and initiative, which are oriented towards betterment of the community.”

“The Donation boxes will be installed in Union Coop branches of Jumeirah (Al Wasl) on May 16, 17, 18 and Al Barsha on May 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and June 1. We hope people realize the importance of food donation this holy month and donate wholeheartedly for the betterment of the less-fortunate people.”

Supporting the community has been a primary objective of Union Coop, who is actively involved in ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ initiatives in coordination with reputed Government and Private institutions throughout the year.
