Union Coop Sports Championship starts with more than 520 employee participants

Union Coop’s Human Resources and Emiratization department – ‘Employee Happiness Unit’ organized the Union Coop Sports Championship 2018 for its employees, which included 7 different games. The aim of organizing such a sporting event was to engage as many employees as possible and to inspire them to adopt sports as a part of their life.

Mr. Ahmed Bin Kenaid, Director of Human Resources and Emiratization said, “Union Coop is keen to provide a healthy and dynamic work environment, noting that Human Resources and Emiratization dept. is working hard to adopt the best international practices to raise the level of happiness of their employees, their Productivity and efficiency as well. “

“The tournament, which started on 23rd of September, was organized at the staff accommodation in Muhaisnah, with the participation of more than 520 players, who formed 99 teams from different sectors and departments. The championship tournament included games of football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, Carrom, and other contests. He stressed that the diversity of the games complimented the diversity of nationalities working in Union Coop and ensured keen participation in the Union Coop sports championship for the current year. “
