Union Coop Participates in the UAE-Uzbekistan International Labor Forum

Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, participated in the UAE-Uzbekistan International Labor Forum, which opened in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent from 30 April to 3 May 2019, with extensive participation by recruitment agencies and business entities from both countries.
Commenting on the participation, Mr. Ahmed Bin Kenaid, Director of Human Resources and Emiratization, Union Coop said, “Union Coop as a leading national economic entity aims at contributing to the activation of bilateral ties between the two nations, especially in the field of employment in various sectors by establishing a partnership between private sector companies and recruitment agencies to manage the necessary job-oriented training procedures.”
The UAE-Uzbekistan Business Forum was inaugurated by HE Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, accompanied by Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi and HE Aisha Bakharifih. The forum agenda included meetings with a number of Uzbek Ministers.
The forum is one of the many plans to activate the partnership between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of employment market and in implementation of the protocols of cooperation established between the governments of the two countries in the last April, where workshops and working sessions were held between the UAE and Uzbek recruitment agencies.
The official Cooperation Charter was signed by 14 UAE Recruitment agencies and 52 Uzbek agencies, as well as official visits were made by professional and academic training institutes, including the Korean Institute in the field of Mechanics, Electronics and Russian Institute for Hospitality and hotel services, and organizing an open recruitment day, interviewing more than 250 job seekers, approving 100 candidates, and offering 1,500 job placement agencies to search for candidates.
