Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE’s Human Resources and Emiratization Department organized seasonal ‘Flu Vaccination’ for 820 employees and their families for free of charge. The initiative falls within Union Coop’s strategic framework of creating an appropriate working environment and maintaining the health of its staff.

Mr. Ahmed Bin Kenaid, Director of Human Resources and Emiratization, Union Coop said: “Providing Flu vaccinations is a new health initiative launched by our ‘employee happiness unit’ and is aimed at protecting the employees from the side-effects of seasonal flu, and we intend to include similar initiatives in our annual plan of health initiatives.”

Explaining the vitality of such initiatives, Bin Kenaid said: “The health of our employees is at the forefront of our priorities and focusing on the same translates our efforts to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination. Vaccination is one of the most important tools in preventing infectious diseases and we call on all employees to take advantage of the vaccination to protect their and their family’s health. Furthermore, this will reduce the spreading of infectious diseases in the community.”
