Union Coop concluded its Ramadan activities and programs that it organized during the holy month for its employees, which varied between religious, cultural, sports and entertainment, in order to urge employees to continue at the same pace and enthusiasm of work in the month of Ramadan.

In detail, Mr. AHMAD BIN KENAID AL FALASI, Human Resources & Emiratization Department Director confirmed that the cooperative launched several initiatives during the blessed month of Ramadan to bring joy and pleasure to the hearts of employees and make it an exceptional and unforgettable month for them, as it organized four main programs to make them happy, namely, an initiative of ‘breaking the fast’, which benefited all employees’ in the housing, where Iftar meals with sweets were provided to all employees in the residences, in addition to the ‘Union Coop Ramadan Championship 2022’, which were well received and interacted by all employees participating in the tournament, whether men or women, which included many games such as (football, volleyball, table tennis) and many others,

The Eid al-Fitr cash prizes were distributed through an electronic draw for 200 employees. At the end of the holy month, a ceremony was held in honor of all participating teams in the holy month of Ramadan wherein cash prizes were distributed to the first and second place winners, where the Barsha South branch team won the football championship, while the Al-Warqa branch team won the cricket game, while the Al-Wasl branch team won the women’s volleyball championship, and the Jumeirah branch team won the men’s championship. The women’s basketball championship was won by the team of the Jumeirah first branch, the men’s basketball championship was won by the Umm Suqeim branch team, the Mirdif branch team won the carom game, and the table tennis championship was won by Ms. CHARITO CENIDOZA from Al Mamzar branch, and Mr. Osama Ismaeil was the winner of men’s table tennis championship from the main office.

The Human Resources & Emiratization Department Director further pointed out the importance that the cooperative pays to employee interaction and welfare during the holy month by organizing different activities and events for the employees, with the aim of disseminating the values of Islam and the spirit of tolerance among employees from different communities.

He thanked all the Directors and Managers of Divisions, Departments and branches in the Union Coop for their cooperation to make the Ramadan initiatives successful, which brought happiness and pleasure to the hearts of all employees, stressing that employee happiness initiative continue throughout the year to make them happy.
