Union Coop received 26 students from Zayed Educational Complex at the Al Warqa City Mall branch in Dubai, where the visit of the student was aimed to acquaint them with the latest technologies and techniques that the cooperative deploys in its work and operations. This included the display of fresh products, food preparation and the most important local and international products offered to the consumers, in addition to the best innovative practices that are followed in the field of retail.

The students were received by Mr. MOHAMMAD ABBAS, Sr. Showroom Supervisor- Al Warqa Branch and Union Coop employees from concerned departments, who offered a guided tour to the students inside the Union Coop branch and introduced them to Union products, in addition to introducing them to various sections in the branch.

During the tour, Mr. MOHAMMAD ABBAS offered detailed insight to the students about the important services provided by the cooperative to consumers, the application of best retail practices in trade, consumer happiness services, and healthy storage methods to maintain product freshness. Additionally, he informed the students about the retail trade culture in Union Coop, hydroponics, various stages of the crop and how the ‘Union Farm’ is maintained in the Al Warqa Branch.

Students also participated in preparing food such as pastries, and fish cleaning and learning more about the cooking mechanisms per the health and hygiene standards followed by Union Coop. All this was done under the supervision of specialists.

The accompanying student ‘supervisor’ appreciated Union Coop’s effort and praised the distinguished initiative organized by the cooperative team. She thanked Union Coop on behalf of the Zayed Educational Complex’s management for the good reception, organization and for offering students an insight into the best services offered, work & delivery mechanism and the modern technologies deployed in the showroom, which is in line with the retailer’s vision to attract shoppers.
