Union Coop has reinforced its dedication to social responsibility by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ‘CoTopia Social Responsibility Foundation’ to support the “Your Breakfast, Their Suhoor 7” initiative. This initiative, which Union Coop has backed since its inception, promotes community engagement, gratitude, and responsible food consumption.

The official signing ceremony took place at ‘Al Warqa City Mall’, with ‘Mr. Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop’, and ‘Mr. Yousif Al Obaidli, CEO of CoTopia Social Responsibility Foundation’, formalizing the partnership.

The “Your Breakfast, Their Suhoor 7” initiative aims to promote the culture of food conservation, encourage community participation in social initiatives, and combat food wastage by minimizing excess. The initiative advocates for the donation of surplus food, ensuring its safe distribution under the supervision of relevant authorities while adhering to the highest food safety standards.

‘Mr. Al Hashemi’ reaffirmed Union Coop’s unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility, emphasizing its continued support for impactful community programs. He highlighted that this collaboration aligns with Union Coop’s long-term vision and strategic goals, reflecting the wise leadership’s directive to embed social responsibility across both governmental and private sectors.

Mr. Yousif Al Obaidli commended Union Coop’s pivotal role in community welfare and its consistent support for the “Your Breakfast, Their Suhoor” initiative.
