Union Coop, the largest cooperative in the UAE, has won the Best Hypermarket Award in the best educational materials (phase 1, 2). Awarded by Dubai Municipality, the prestigious award was presented to Union Coop for its participation in the campaign entitled “How to Keep Your Food Safe in Ramadan” that was organized by Dubai Municipality last Year.
The Union Coop participation in the event comes within the framework of its commitment to spreading food safety awareness in society.

Commenting on this recognition, Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, director of Operations Division said: “our aim behind the participation in this campaign is to foster the Union Coop and Dubai Municipality efforts to provide customers with valued information that helps them maintain their food safety. This award is the fruitful result of all the dedicated work and efforts exerted by our staff to enhance community awareness.”

The food safety flyers covered three main topics: 10 healthy practices for food safety, 4 key steps in food preparation, and healthy and safe buying habits.
