Ministry of Social Affairs honored the winners of Co-op Ajial Award of the Academic Year 2014 – 2015, in its different categories through a ceremony that was held in Raffles Hotel Dubai. The ceremony included an exhibition of activities and crafts from societies and schools from different places of the Country, in addition to a part of Al Amal Deaf School, and an anthem from Union Co-op School.

Mr. / Naji Al Hay, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Social Affairs said that Co-op Ajial Initiative is one of the most important initiatives launched by the Ministry since 2008 in order to boost the social cooperative work in collaboration of all categories of the society. Aims of the Award were concentrated on elevating the value of cooperation, deepening the concept of social responsibility inside the students, making them know the cooperative foundations and principles to achieve their common economic, social and cultural interests, by establishing economic activities, which they manage and supervise by themselves, based on principles of cooperation, titled Students Cooperative Societies.

At the end of ceremony, an honor was given to the Award winners and all those who participated in their success, and in particular an honor was given to Union Co-op Society , and Mr. / Naji Al Hay, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Social Affairs delivered a memorial medal to Mr. Shuaib Abdulla Ali Marketing section Manager, in Society, because of its effective participation in support of the Sixth Round of Award. Al Hay expressed his thanks and gratitude for participation in these efforts, and provision of necessary support of all types, so that the Award may become in this bright form.
