In Response to the Instructions from the President of UAE and Directives from the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE

May 6, 2018 – Sunday, Dubai (UAE): As a response to the Directives of ‘H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’ President of the UAE, and Directives of ‘H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, HE Majid Hamad Rahmah Al Shamsi – Chairman of Union Coop, the largest Consumer Coop in the UAE announced an additional basic month’s salary to all the employees of the firm, to celebrate the Centennial anniversary of the birth of the founding father, the ‘Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’, observed on 6th May, 2018.

Explaining the decision in detail, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop said, “Under the wise leadership of ‘H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’ President of the UAE, and ‘H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai, we celebrate the immortal legacy of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul), the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. Late Sheikh Zayed has always been an inspiration not only for the people of UAE but for all Arab Islamic Nations for his great contributions. Based on his vision and teachings, Union Coop is leaving no stones unturned to spread happiness and good within the community.”
