The health of Union Coop Employees a matter of priority and importance

In line with the efforts of the UAE leadership and people regarding the health and safety of citizens and residents of the UAE, regarding the measures taken to confront diseases and epidemics, Union Coop provided seasonal flu vaccination for about 2594 employees for free of charge. The vaccination program was held in corporation with Dubai Health Authority and it comes within the health initiatives of Union Coop which seeks to provide a healthy and safe working environment to its employees and also fulfilling its commitment to the safety and protection of the society.

Mr. AHMAD SALEM BIN KENAID AL FALASI, Human Resources & Emiratisation Director, Union Coop said: – “Out of Union Coop’s keenness on the health and safety of community members, providing seasonal-flu vaccine has been included in its program effectively as this event is the second of its kind. We aim to immunize all employees against seasonal flu, as the Health authority staff worked in 2 shifts – morning and evening in the staff accommodation and headquarters of Union Coop,” explained the Director who also highlighted that the overall cost of vaccination amounted to AED 150,000.

He added, “The health of Union Coop employees is at the forefront of our priorities and at the center of our attention, which translates our efforts to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination, as it is the most effective tool in preventing infectious diseases, and we invite all employees to take seasonal flu vaccinations, because of its vital role in protecting their health and limiting the spread of infectious diseases in society.”
