Union Coop participated in a health and awareness event dedicated to the elderly in celebration of World Diabetes Day, as part of the activities of the Thukher Social Club. The event was organized by the Emirates Red Crescent in coordination with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, and it involved the participation of Tadawi Hospital, Al Nasr Club, and the Dubai Health Academy Foundation, taking place in the Dubai Quranic Park.

The cooperative provided special care for the event, aligning with its goals and priorities to contribute to improving the lives of the elderly and enhancing their integration into society. This is part of its annual social contributions, emphasizing the importance of the role of senior citizens in the community and their right to be present alongside all age groups.

The event included various awareness, health, and sports activities beneficial for the elderly, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and exercising. Students from schools, visitors, and individuals from various community groups participated in these activities.

Through its participation and sponsorship of the event, the cooperative reaffirms its commitment to expressing gratitude and appreciation for senior citizens, recognizing them as an important and inspiring segment of society.
