‘Operations Excellence Award’ to honour outstanding career achievements

Dubai, UAE:

Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE through the Operations division, honoured 17 employees with the ‘Operations Excellence Award’, in order to enhance the spirit of competition among the Operations staff and encourage them to excel and deliver the best.

The staff was honoured by Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, Director of Operations Division, in the presence of Mr. Majiruddin Khan, Asst. Director of Trading Division, Union Coop, Mrs. Priya Chopra, Director of Business Strategy & Corporate Development Department, Mr. Aiman Othman, IT Director, Mr. Ayoub Mohammed, Sr. Area Manager, Mr. PT Siraj, Area Manager and numerous other Union Coop Branch Managers and Employees.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Bin Thani said, “Operations Dept. is a group of distinguished individuals who have deployed tremendous efforts to offer the best services to Union Coop consumers. This award was initiated by the Operations Department to appreciate the efforts of the staff and inspire them to always deliver their level best in all spheres of work. The award covered 6 key principles of – Delight, Management, Health & Safety, Financial, Human Resources and Governance.”

He further stressed the fact that Union Coop is like a second family for its valued employees and this Excellence Award will strengthen this bond and further motivate them to perform even better. These initiatives are in line with Union Coop’s strategy of creating a suitable working environment for the employees, who in turn reflect the same happiness in their work by providing the highest levels of service to the consumers of Union Coop.
