The initiative came as a part of International Day of Tolerance celebration in all the Union Coop Branches

Coinciding with the International Day of Tolerance, Union Coop – the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE distributed more than 1,000 healthy meals to the visitors of Union Coop branches in Dubai. This comes within the framework of Union Coop’s keenness to participate in Community activities/events and support it to promote the concept and values of tolerance.

On this occasion, Mr. YAQOOB ALBALOOSHI, Fresh Category Trade Dept. Mgr – Union Coop said: – “Union Coop is keen to be an effective element in the field of community, humanitarian and voluntary work as it believes that society and its members are same as the human body and its components. If the community members are not happy then it affects the functioning of the society altogether.”

Al Balooshi mentioned that Union Coop participated and supported many community and humanitarian initiatives, as it is considered as a Pioneer among retail trade establishments/institutions in the UAE who are involved in community services in the country.

He added: – “We continue to follow the path of our wise and rational leadership aimed at spreading goodness among the members of the society, strengthening coherence and brotherhood within the UAE society, and working hard to instil positive values that contribute to the elevation and cohesion of society.”
