Now Open: Union Coop’s Brand New Branch in Al Barsha

Union Coop- the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, opened its 21st branch in Al Barsha 3, located on Hessa Street, spread over an area of 50,000 sq. ft. at a cost of AED 45 Million, as part of its constant efforts to expand and spread to serve all segments of the society and to offer an exceptional shopping experience in form of modern centers complying with international level standards.
The branch was inaugurated by the Chairman of Union Coop – H.E. Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi with H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop, in the presence of Department Directors and Managers and employees of Union Coop, along with a number of officials and suppliers, in addition to shoppers and consumers of all categories of the society.
On the occasion, the Chairman of Union Coop, H.E. Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi, stressed that Union Coop is following its expansion strategy, and this comes within the framework of supporting and leading the economic development through expanding the scope of its services, centers and branches in various regions so that Union Coop is able to offer distinguished services to consumers and build an inclusive sustainable, social and economic environment. This strategy allows consumers from all categories to benefit from its resources and products that are available at high quality and as per international standards.
He also stressed that the opening of the latest branch went as per the planned schedule, which is considered a significant achievement for Union Coop, considering the present repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the opening of new branches and commercial centers is in line with Union Coop’s objectives to support the economy to maintain the market balance and elevate its businesses, initiatives and perceptions towards success and sustainability in accordance with the global economic standards and adaptability.
For his part, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop, spoke about the importance of expanding Union Coop projects to delight consumers through a plan to continue moving forward in customer happiness, something which Union Coop adopted within its sets of current and futuristic goals, and choosing modern designs for its new branches and centers to provide shoppers and consumers with a pleasant shopping experience; with which Consumers would be able to fulfil their requirements easily and of high-quality goods. Regarding the details of the new branch, Arch. MADIYA AL MARI, Investment Division Director at Union Coop, confirmed that the opening of a new branch on Hessa Street in Al Barsha ‘Third’ Area came after obtaining the completion certificate for the building last April, noting that the construction project cost amounted to AED 45 Million. It consists of a basement, a ground floor, and a mezzanine. It includes a Union Coop hypermarket on the first floor and 10 shops on the ground floor, in addition to 120 parking spaces distributed over the basement and ground floors. She pointed out that the total showroom area is 35,356 sq. ft., while the total land area is 50,000 sq. ft.
