Union Coop was honored as the main sponsor of the event ‘Dubai Twin Festival’

Retail pioneer ‘Union Coop’ was the main sponsor of the ‘Dubai Twins Festival’, an event organized by Dubai Women’s Association, the first family festival with the participation of about 94 identical and non-identical twins of different ages, as part of the Family Pillars initiative.

The festival is said to be the first of its kind in the country, an exceptional event considered worthy to be a part of the year of the 50^th celebration. Dubai Twin Festival included activities such as twins march with military band, entertainment show and competitions hosted by Civil Defense, showcase of Dubai Police luxury cars and cavalry, children’s atelier and many more.

Twins from all over the UAE – Emiratis and Residents gathered in Majlis Al Khawaneej Square in similar clothes. The twins participated in cultural and entertainment competitions and games.

H.E. Dr Fatima Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Women’s Association, said: “Out of the association’s keenness to spread societal and national awareness, through this event, we sought to involve the community groups of twins with the participation of several giving bodies in social work that meet with the association in social responsibility with the aim of entertainment in a frame of joy and entertainment.”

Dr. Al Falasi also thanked the festival’s sponsors and the participating institutions and praised the spirit and higher goals that unite societal institutions in an integrative, upscale partnership that does not aim for profit, but rather to serve the nation and the citizen, stressing that it is not surprising that the goals transcend and follow in the footsteps of our wise leadership, may Allah protect them to make the Emiratis and the residents on this good land happy, in accordance with the directives of the leadership in urging community participation to enhance the path of social development.
