Union Coop hosts children as part of ‘Summer Health Camp’ launched by Ministry of Health and Prevention

In line with its commitment to community welfare initiatives and promoting health awareness among the younger generation, Union Coop welcomed a group of children participating in the Summer Health Camp launched by the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention. The program is dedicated to the children of the ministry’s employees.

The initiative aims to raise health awareness during the summer break and encourage the adoption of healthy habits, with a focus on key themes such as: nutrition, physical activity, reduced screen time, and the importance of sufficient sleep.

The children’s visit to Union Coop’s Mirdif branch aligned with the camp’s ‘nutrition’ theme. A guided educational tour was organized to introduce the young participants to the concept of healthy shopping and how to choose the right foods from various food groups. The interactive approach was tailored to suit the children’s age groups, making learning both fun and effective.

As part of the visit, Union Coop distributed healthy meals to the children, reinforcing the importance of balanced nutrition and encouraging conscious food choices.
