Union Coop Honored for Supporting Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital
UAE’s leading consumer cooperative was honored by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum Honors

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of BoD, Dubai Health, honored Union Coop in recognition of its contribution to supporting the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital project, the first fully integrated and comprehensive cancer treatment hospital in Dubai.
The honor was presented during a ceremony organized by Al Jalila Foundation, the charitable arm of Dubai Health, held at the hospital construction site in Dubai Healthcare City – Phase 2. Prominent donors and strategic partners attended the event.
Mr. Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, expressed the Cooperative’s pride in being part of this pioneering humanitarian initiative, which embodies the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership in enhancing quality of life and providing advanced healthcare for all members of society. He emphasized that supporting this medical landmark reflects Union Coop’s deep commitment to its corporate social responsibility and its belief that investing in health is an investment in the nation’s future. He also commended Al Jalila Foundation for its exceptional efforts in leading this vital project.
The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital spans an area of 59,000 sq. m. and will feature 53 clinics, 21 clinical research areas, 60 infusion rooms, 10 urgent care rooms, 5 radiotherapy rooms, 116 patient beds, and 19 gardens, offering patients a holistic and compassionate healing environment.
