Union Coop Employee Sets an Example with his Volunteer Efforts

Mr. Muhammed Rafeek recently was honored with a ‘Golden Visa’ due to his volunteer efforts that accounted to more than 500 hours of selfless service.
Dubai, UAE:
Union Coop employee ‘Mr. Muhammed Rafeek’ who is a part of the ‘Operations Division’, has been awarded a Golden Visa in recognition of his outstanding volunteering efforts in the UAE. His journey began in 2022 with the Dubai Super Cup, and he has since actively participated in numerous initiatives, including serving as a Dubai Metro Ambassador.
He credits the Human Resources and Emiratization Department for providing him the opportunity to volunteer for the Dubai Super Cup at Al Nasr Sports Club in the year 2022, which marked the start of his impactful volunteer work.
Over the past years, Mr. Rafeek has dedicated his time to various community initiatives, including community races, Iftar meal distributions, food drives at local mosques, school vacation activities, a campaign to distribute ten million bottles of water, Dubai labor celebrations, and numerous football tournaments, including the Asian Champions League Trophy round.
In August 2024, he achieved certification as a “First Responder Emergency” from Dubai Ambulance, further enhancing his ability to contribute to the community. Additionally, he was recognized as one of the “Best Volunteers of 2023” under the patronage of Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, a testament to his commitment and impact.
Most of his volunteer efforts have been with the Nabdh Al Emarat Volunteer team, along with collaborations with the Emirates Falcon team, Al Ain Club, and Dubai Cares.
