The Blood Donation drive was targeted towards the consumers visiting Al Barsha Mall and Etihad Mall

Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE organized a Blood Donation drive at Al Barsha and Etihad Malls, Dubai, implementing latest DHA procedure, which enables the prospective donors to register online instead of the regular paperwork.

Union Coop has been organizing blood donation camps and drives throughout the year in its malls in coordination with the DHA and ministry of health. All of them have garnered volunteers and donors in large numbers. This time the latest DHA procedure was implemented, which allowed people to register online, thereby avoiding wastage of paper as well. This come in line with Union Coop’s social objectives to build sustainable resources of all aspects.

The day started with tens of successful blood donors and Union Coop plans to carry on such blood donation initiatives every 3 months, which is also the recommended time for the donors to re-donate their blood.
