In conjunction with International Day of Happiness 2019, Union Coop – the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, represented by Human Resources and Emiratization Department ‘Employee Happiness Unit’, distributed dozens of gifts to staff through ‘lucky draw’. The lucky draw was conducted in a bid to promote the concept of ‘happiness’ by creating a happy and sustainable environment.
The lucky draw was started by H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop, attended by Eng. Madiya Al Marri, Director of Properties and Projects Division, Mr. Majiruddin Khan, Asst. Director of Trading Division, Mr. Ahmed Bin Kenaid, Director of Human Resources and Emiratization Department, Mr. Mohammed Berregad, Director of Admin Affairs Dept., Mr. Yaqoob Al Balooshi, Fresh Category Trade Dept. Manager, and a number of section managers and staff.
H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi said, “Union Coop is implementing strategic plans to promote both external (Customers) and internal (staff) happiness and is keen to carry out such initiatives and believe that the same level of happiness is transmitted into enhancing the level of servicing, which ultimately delights our consumers at all levels and goes beyond their expectations.”
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Bin Kenaid said, “The Human Resources and Emiratization dept. through ‘Employee Happiness Unit’ is keen to implement and organize initiatives aimed at raising the level of happiness among employees, as per the highest standards of international happiness. Even the studies indicate that a happy and comfortable working environment automatically reflects the increased energy and productivity of the employee, which again contributes to the achievement of the desired objectives.”
The gifts from the lucky draw included 22 shopping cards worth AED 200 and the 22 winners were also gifted with 1 Happy hour each, wherein the employee is allowed to leave ‘one hour’ early.
