The Union Cooperative Society pleasurably supported the Dubai International Award for the Holy Qur’an with an amount of AED 500,000, believing in the importance of the role played by the award in encouraging young Muslims to memorise and understand the Holy Quran, and to spread the Quranic values of peace and love.

Representing Union Coop General Manager, Mr. Suhail Al Bastaki “Media & Communication Manager” at UCS delightfully handed over the check along with the memorial gift to Mr. Ibrahim Bumelha the adviser of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in recognition of the efforts done by all who participated in creating this competition.

This UCS decent initiative took place on Wednesday 06/18/2014 at the Headquarters of the award which derives out of the strategic objectives of Union Coop originating from the values and principles of the UAE Islamic authentic, and the keenness of UCS Board of directors headed by Mr. Majid Al Shamsi in embracing social responsibility, as well as the anticipation of UCS General Manager, Mr. Khalid Al Falasi who confirms the continuous importance of supporting such initiatives, and that UCS is an integral part of the community, and will work hand in hand with its strategic partners to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
