UAQ Coop (Managed By Union Coop) Employee Wins at Nafis Award

Anood Khalifa Hashil Salim Al Barhi won in the category of the ‘best Emiratis working in the private sector in retail jobs’ at ‘Nafis Award’s’ first session 2022-23

Anood Khalifa Hashil Salim Al Barhi, working at Umm Al Quwain Coop (managed by Union Coop) won third place in the category of the ‘best Emiratis working in the private sector in retail jobs’ at ‘Nafis Award’s’ first session 2022-23, which was organized by ‘Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council’. The ceremony was held at Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi.
The Employee has been working as a ‘Senior Cashier’ at the UAQ Coop since the end of February 2022 and academically holds a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Sociology and Community Service’.
The employee Anood applied for the Nafis award after fulfilling all the prerequisites within the category of ‘the best Emirati working in the private sector retail jobs’ indicating that after she was accepted to participate in the award, she was evaluated by the evaluation team supervising the award, after which she shared with the committees her most prominent professional achievements with numbers and statistics. Among the other requirements was to create a presentation that includes job tasks, educational qualifications, certifications and experiences, challenges and opportunities that she faced while working in the private sector and the mechanisms for overcoming them, in addition to the importance of a positive attitude that reflects national identity and communication with other cultures inside and outside the work environment.
She highlighted her prominent achievement professionally, including effective communication between management and employees, problem-solving skills and dealing positively with others, the ability to communicate with employees and customers, managing the work team, continuous improvement in her work and aspiration to achieve self-realization.
She also reflected on her personal notable achievements including participation in supporting the first line of defense during the Covid-19 pandemic, participation in the fifth phase of ‘Labeah Ya Watan’ initiative with the Emirates Red Crescent, addition to Voluntary participation with the Emirates Red Crescent, where the number of volunteer hours reached 361.
She pointed out that the UAQ Coop under the management of Union Coop offered her the opportunity to be among the winners of the Nafis Award and after Allah, she credits Union Coop for the constant support that helped her in reaching the final rounds and eventually winning. She expressed her happiness to be honored among the best Emiratis working in the private sector in retail jobs.
